Amanda Hogan Carlisle
Earthly Delights
acrylic paintings on canvas
Amanda began painting at a young age under the guidance of her mother, Lynn Hogan. She is a graduate of Xavier University where she studied art, psychology and German language. Her Fine art focuses are painting and design. Amanda creates one-of-a-kind greeting cards and custom invitations using recycled paper, fabric, or found objects stitched together with thread.
Amanda said "This body of work has been a long time in the making. The original inspiration was to do a new take on Georgia O' Keefe's flower series with large scale vegetables. The idea was rekindled after reading Michael Pollan's book
The Botany of Desire . Always an admirer of the beauty and charm of vegetables, The Botany of Desire illuminated for me the idea of how plants have evolved to satisfy humankind's most basic yearnings."

It is a goal and a passion for us to reach out to the community and spread art in any way we can. If you or anyone you know has a charitable or non-profit art related organization, and would like to have a fundraising event, contact us to get more information about a group showing. Typically, we take a smaller commission for such events.
"Thank you for your donation from proceeds from art sales from our clients at New Perceptions. You made it possible, and so easy, for us to showcase our talented participants of the Art Abilities program. Our mission is to promote the welfare of children and adults with developmental disabilities by providing opportunities for education, growth and employment in a normal setting. Your gift makes a positive impact on children and adults with special needs."
~Debbie Fulkerson Director of Development & Community Relations, New Perceptions, Inc.
"I can't thank you enough for the experience you have provided the students in this art class. This is [my daughter's] first art class and to have the chance to have a piece on view is amazing. I love the shop!"
